 These pictures from the sx210is pocket sized camera were taken around midnight from the same location.First with no zoom using a 4 second exposure gives a daytime appearance, second at 14x zoom reveals a parking lot, third with 56x reveals a dealership, and the fourth enhanced to about 400x. No tripod was used. The last image should demonstrate the camera's image excellent stabilization abilities at night. The optional free CHDK software in the camera may extend these abilities much further. Macro picture of a 1" IBM Microdrive assembly.At the closest range of this lens, that one square inch device equals about 2500 pixels each direction, providing plenty of resolution to work with. Color fringing from the super zoom lens may be seen in the extreme macro closeup. The capacitors are about the size of salt grains.
